Dear Prospective Student:
You are considering becoming a student at College of America. Many others have also thought about this, but did not bring their dream to completion for various reasons, but here are answers to some of your possible concerns:
- “I am not as young as I was when I was in school before.” However, your mind is now more focused and you can concentrate better.
- “I have to work and can’t go to daytime classes.” Our courses are three credits for three hours a week for fifteen weeks on one week night or Saturday for each three credits, or by video, or by independent study.
- “I am too tired to go to school at night.” You will find that the Lord will bless you with strength as you prepare to serve Him better with a college degree.
- “I did not like the secular things that I was forced to learn at previous schools.” We are a Christian College and all our staff and professors are committed to lifting up Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord in all areas of our lives and of the curriculum.
- “Money is a problem.” This will always be true until we walk the streets of gold; however, you have always attempted to meet your goals before and this is no different.
- “I am concerned that I will have large student loans to pay off as other schools explained to me in the past.” This is a true concern, but as we are an independent school, you will not have student loans, only a monthly payment plan. Instead of a total of from $24,000 to more than $80,000 (or more) for four years, our total is only $6,125 for four years (as we give a 50% scholarship for each credit, down from $100 to $50.).
